Lesser number of hotel rooms as well as Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) are among concerns for India's travel and tourism industry, according to the WEF. These observations are part of the World Economic Forum's Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report 2011, which has ranked India at 68th position compared to previous ranking of 62. In the Asia-Pacific region, India is placed 12th. Neighbouring China is ahead of India, cornering 39th spot in the ranking of 139 countries. In 2009, the list had only 133 nations. The list is topped by Switzerland, followed by Germany and France at second and third places, respectively. Austria is at the fourth spot while Sweden is ranked 5th. WEF pointed out that some aspects of India's "tourism infrastructure remain somewhat underdeveloped (ranked 89th), with very few hotel rooms per capita by international comparison and low ATM penetration".
